On 01.02.02, I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. Too late for surgery, I had chemotherapy, which failed. In May the chemotherapy was changed and I was soon in remission which was celebrated and welcome and lasted nine years - until October 2011. There was progression in 2011 so more treatment was indicated and I am now back in partial remission. But I'm not only a cancer patient - I also enjoy my family, walk my dogs and am learning to draw and paint. Life is good!

#1 - Done!

I finished the first tile for the September Relay for Life in Santa Rosa, California. My plan is to make many which will eventually be affixed to the luminaria for the evening candlelit display. I'm starting now in hope of completing a large number, but I'm not known for perfect follow through.

Today was to be our last day of warmer than normal weather temperatures. I heard it was 84º F. in San Francisco, rare in and of itself at any time of the year. Tomorrow will be ten degrees cooler...

My own plan for tomorrow -- let's see if I actually do it -- is to participate in the Davis, California Sketch Crawl. I've never participated in a crawl so this will be a new venture, but I've been wanting to go for a long time. The organizer is Pete Scully, a favorite blog artist of mine. Additional information is HERE.

  1. Nice job. I like the bit of added color.
