On 01.02.02, I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. Too late for surgery, I had chemotherapy, which failed. In May the chemotherapy was changed and I was soon in remission which was celebrated and welcome and lasted nine years - until October 2011. There was progression in 2011 so more treatment was indicated and I am now back in partial remission. But I'm not only a cancer patient - I also enjoy my family, walk my dogs and am learning to draw and paint. Life is good!

The second week of March

I'm in the process of making an entire sketchbook page of these "mice," but only worked on the first one. I wish I would see one in my window feeder - or anywhere else - but it's been a while since I have.

Today was busy enough.  I worked several hours and also got one major cleaning project completed, the advantage of having a home office. It was cool and breezy, but there were only a few sprinkles.

Demi and I did our library gig and worked overtime because there were so many children wanting to take their turn reading to a dog. In between kids I found a couple moms to chat with so it was a social time for me as well.

Up next: bath time for Demi so I can take her into the chemotherapy suite tomorrow morning.

  3. Well the shape, the feel of the titmouse is just right! I think it is a great sketch. I love those birds.
