Oops! We're outta here!
I sat by my office window next to a camera on a tripod and tried to get some photos of the house finches visiting the bird feeder. In the end I liked this one the best - when they saw me, panicked in flight and fled. They came back, stuffed their faces, saw me again, took off again...
A new storm is coming in tonight, but only for about 12 hours. This is the off and on pattern that tells us we're getting closer to spring.
I worked for an hour this morning. I hosed out the chicken coop. I made the under drawing for a new watercolor. I mailed my weekly letter to my kids. I watched a movie. It was that kind of day.
And I never did get warm, it was also that chilly dampness that seeps into your bones. But I loved the birds!

Is that a weekly snail mail letter or email? I tend to keep up with my kids via telephone and email and sometimes with my son, on facebook.
ReplyDeleteHi Timaree -- It's exactly two pages, typed on the computer, photos and artwork dropped in, mailed in an envelope with a quotation about letterwriting and one more image under the return address. It's a formula that has worked since September 09 when I began and have never missed. I print out 3 copies - one for my son, one for my daughter and one for me. I bound my copy of the 2010 letters in one book.
ReplyDeleteI was a slug today. I do like that you write to your kids every week. I remember when I had just left home and I loved to see a letter in the mail from my mom, her handwriting is so beautiful.
