On 01.02.02, I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. Too late for surgery, I had chemotherapy, which failed. In May the chemotherapy was changed and I was soon in remission which was celebrated and welcome and lasted nine years - until October 2011. There was progression in 2011 so more treatment was indicated and I am now back in partial remission. But I'm not only a cancer patient - I also enjoy my family, walk my dogs and am learning to draw and paint. Life is good!

Could be a goal

Zentangle Practice
For the last few years I've volunteered to use Zentangle as a way to decorate luminaries at the annual Relay for Life. Usually the event is in September.

It has occurred to me, since April is only hours away, that I better get crackin' if I am going to participate again this year. This Zentangle is not one of the ones I'll use, I was simply warming up while I study all my how-to books to see what I could come up with. If I'm really serious about it (I sort of am), I'd make one complete Zentangle each day for the next six months.  Hmmmm, don't know if that's gonna happen!

  2. It's hard for me to do them as they take so long and have so much repetition to them. Some are so pretty they draw me to wanting to do them but every time I do I think yuck, not very good. Hope you get enough done to at least join in as usual.

  3. I find them relaxing and this one looks very nice. I'm not sure I'd have the patience to do 60, though.
