On 01.02.02, I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. Too late for surgery, I had chemotherapy, which failed. In May the chemotherapy was changed and I was soon in remission which was celebrated and welcome and lasted nine years - until October 2011. There was progression in 2011 so more treatment was indicated and I am now back in partial remission. But I'm not only a cancer patient - I also enjoy my family, walk my dogs and am learning to draw and paint. Life is good!

Total confusion

Okay, so where did I get the idea yesterday that we were finished with the rain for a while. Wrong! There has been substantial rain today, the day is gray with bits of drear mixed in, and every time I look out the window there's a new shower happening.

And then what made me think that my scanner would work forever, that I only needed to press the same button that worked yesterday and every day before then? And how did I happen to get so dependent on technology anyway?

So I took a photo of my drawing. I had enough coupons saved to order a new scanner, it's raining again and I'll understand everything by and by. Right?

  1. great sketch - our church has nothing up front except a pulpit and piano and flowers.

  2. But if I attended your church I would sit there and draw those three items over and over again!
