On 01.02.02, I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. Too late for surgery, I had chemotherapy, which failed. In May the chemotherapy was changed and I was soon in remission which was celebrated and welcome and lasted nine years - until October 2011. There was progression in 2011 so more treatment was indicated and I am now back in partial remission. But I'm not only a cancer patient - I also enjoy my family, walk my dogs and am learning to draw and paint. Life is good!

Chicken coop Saturday

With all the rain and cold weather I got behind on chicken duties and the coop was a mess. Every January we hit a spate of unusually warm weather and this is our week -- upper 60s and no rain, lots of sunshine. I woke up with a plan -- if I get nothing else done today I have got to clean the chicken coop! It only took an hour and now I feel better -- clean, sanitary conditions equals healthy chickens and delicious eggs! 2. Happy chickens indeed, I'm in envy of your warm day... we got up in the 50's today, which was VERY nice. Fresh eggs... yummy... good girls.

  4. Thank you, Everyone.

Donna -- It wasn't that big, it just felt that way!

Raena -- I really enjoy Arty Velarde and Gemma Correll and decided to try. If you don't know their work the links are on the right hand side of my blog.

Elaine -- Yummy indeed, but three dozen a week???
