On 01.02.02, I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. Too late for surgery, I had chemotherapy, which failed. In May the chemotherapy was changed and I was soon in remission which was celebrated and welcome and lasted nine years - until October 2011. There was progression in 2011 so more treatment was indicated and I am now back in partial remission. But I'm not only a cancer patient - I also enjoy my family, walk my dogs and am learning to draw and paint. Life is good!

Rainy tangling

What a storm we had yesterday!  It was everything that forecasters predicted with a few trees falling down in the process.  When oak trees fall, it's dangerous!

We're fine, nothing came apart in our neighborhood and today was crisp and sunny with some wind. During the height of the storm I completed this zentangle on postcard watercolor paper and mailed it to my grandson (who is also learning how to tangle).

  1. What a storm! Yesterday, they finally came to plow my street. So, I turned my snow-in cabin-fever days into doing school work and painting Love the sketch and I am sure your grandson will also. But what is tangle?

  4. Lynn -- A tangle is a repeated pattern. A zentangle is a combination of many individual tangles. Does that help?
