On 01.02.02, I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. Too late for surgery, I had chemotherapy, which failed. In May the chemotherapy was changed and I was soon in remission which was celebrated and welcome and lasted nine years - until October 2011. There was progression in 2011 so more treatment was indicated and I am now back in partial remission. But I'm not only a cancer patient - I also enjoy my family, walk my dogs and am learning to draw and paint. Life is good!

Not the weekend yet

I don't know what I was thinking when I thought today would be so easy. I checked my planner before I went to bed last night and discovered I had five clients coming in and that's called work! But the good part was that I was in town all day and since I have several commutes each week to Santa Rosa, Petaluma and Napa, it's a great day when I can just make it all local.

I started teaching a six-session art journaling class on Monday night. I had prepared mightily for several months so everything went perfectly and folks left smiling. I'm hoping they will recruit others because attendance was quite low and the class would probably be more fun with more bodies. Still and all, small and intimate as it was, we got off to a good start.

  1. Yay! Glad your class went over so well. Hope the population has a boom too. Very nice hand you've done here.
