On 01.02.02, I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. Too late for surgery, I had chemotherapy, which failed. In May the chemotherapy was changed and I was soon in remission which was celebrated and welcome and lasted nine years - until October 2011. There was progression in 2011 so more treatment was indicated and I am now back in partial remission. But I'm not only a cancer patient - I also enjoy my family, walk my dogs and am learning to draw and paint. Life is good!

Hot summer Sunday

It's 90ºF outdoors today and that's just about my upper limit.

Steve and I have been tromping around all afternoon at the annual Cottage and Garden Tour and now our highest goal is to lie down with good books!

Seeing such luscious properties made me want to go home and pull weeds, but that's not going to happen until the temperature drops this evening. And then it will be too late so I'll put it off until tomorrow. But tomorrow will be warm too.... And that's how the weeds have gotten the best of me...

  1. I can sure relate to this post!! The weeds are beginning to win now because it's just too hot!

And I also understand the starting of drawings over and over. Had that happy with my cat so many times!
