On 01.02.02, I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. Too late for surgery, I had chemotherapy, which failed. In May the chemotherapy was changed and I was soon in remission which was celebrated and welcome and lasted nine years - until October 2011. There was progression in 2011 so more treatment was indicated and I am now back in partial remission. But I'm not only a cancer patient - I also enjoy my family, walk my dogs and am learning to draw and paint. Life is good!

Catching up

Yesterday was the annual Living History Day at Petaluma Adobe. I was volunteering in the gift shop, an opportunity to "play store," something I haven't done in more decades than I care to announce. Fortunately for me, the many families and visitors were more interested in watching candles being made, seeing the spinning demonstration and chatting with some of the recreated personages than in shopping, so I don't think I made too many blunders.

Next year, when I'm thinner, I'm going to dress up too! (This page was started on a church bulletin where I drew Demi. At home I turned it into my daily food page.)
