Drenching day in late February
I sat in chemotherapy this morning and drew someone's jacket hanging on a nearby hook. I haven't had much experience drawing drapery and folds and welcomed the opportunity to practice.
It rained all day today, a mini drencher with a larger storm coming in later in the week. I had a long list of errands to run, in the rain, which I enjoy more than most people. Everything seems calmer. I love the sound of rain drops and splashes. I guess when you spend the morning in chemotherapy the nuances of life in the afternoon mean so much more.
This evening Steve and I took Cassidy to one of her training classes. She was bred to become a service dog, but it's too soon to know if she'll make the cut. She turns ten months old tomorrow and probably won't go to the professional trainers until November. I let Steve do the actual classwork this time and I watched and snapped photos.
Great work on the folds. My son had a working dog to help him get around. He is legally blind from RP. You folks that raise these puppies should receive tons of gratitudes every day for the great work you do and what you give to people that need these dogs so much. They make such a difference in a person's life to help with the disabilities they have. So here are my hearty THANKS!!!
ReplyDeleteMy thoughts are with you through your chemo. Can't be much fun.

You did a superb job on the folds of fabric. Great sketch. I hope Cassidy make the cut. :)
