On 01.02.02, I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. Too late for surgery, I had chemotherapy, which failed. In May the chemotherapy was changed and I was soon in remission which was celebrated and welcome and lasted nine years - until October 2011. There was progression in 2011 so more treatment was indicated and I am now back in partial remission. But I'm not only a cancer patient - I also enjoy my family, walk my dogs and am learning to draw and paint. Life is good!

Farm days for Mama

Last night, at about midnight, I FINALLY figured out how to link great sites to what I want to show you. So, expect to be linked to death while I demonstrate my latest skill.

Last March/April I was blogging about this site and now I can link back to it. Square Foot Gardening is a gridded planting method, totally different from traditional row growing. It was developed by an engineer, not an agriculturist, but boy, does he have it down.

We've been eating corn fresh from the stalk. (Well, I mean, we cook it first.) Sweet, delicious. Are you hungry yet?
