Bits and dabs
The art teacher at Juvenile Hall keeps saying, "Paint, Barbara, paint!"
I basically loathe acrylic paint but that's what all the classes have been using for several months. Periodically I try, I really do try, but it's tough going for me.
On the other hand, I very much want to support the instructor and I want to do it cheerfully. One day I tried making an acrylic
zentangle.
Today I worked on acrylic trees. I'm just learning how to draw trees using pencil -- and that's from direct observation or photo references.
It was one more leap to work from my imagination, another demand from the instructor. I'm trying, I'm trying....
I love your Zentangle !! I would never have thought to do them with acrylics. Yeah, something else to think about and a challenge.
ReplyDeleteI share your feelings about acrylics - I use them for backgrounds on ATCs, but that's about all. I'm getting ready to take the plunge and try to do more with them. I applaud your efforts - the zentangle is really nice, and the colors in the tree painting are spectacular. Keep up the good work! nancy
ReplyDeleteI'm with you. I'm not much of an acrylic painter. I only use them when teaching the children. But, I do love your paintings!
