Trying it and liking it
I'm enjoying the introduction to pen and ink work presented in class this week. I finally tried an ink wash as well. As much as I enjoy color, it may be that I enjoy plain black and white almost as much.
The week is going well. It's been unusually cold here in northern California, but that is about to change. Every day will be another five degrees warmer and the weekend may well be almost hot.
Every evening I step out to empty the kitchen fruit and vegetable peels and stir the compost. Then I check on my "crops." The beets are still the winning contenders but other things are starting to peek through the soil too.
But my best work is in a south window in my office. Yesterday I transplanted a dozen tomato seedlings into peat pots. As soon as the weather is definitely warm, for the season, I can begin planting tomatoes, grown from seed, into the ground. This is a first as I've always bought tomato plants, never dreaming how easy it is to begin them from seeds.
Wonderful job!
ReplyDelete:) The chicken is popping out of my screen!
Love it...it really stands out!
ReplyDeleteGreat job on capturing the different values with the ink.
ReplyDeleteOn a side note I've always wondered if it would be hard to start tomatoes from seed. Would be fun to try some different varieties.
