Keep on keeping on
Last evening I parked my tired self in front of DVD reruns of "As Time Goes By," a family favorite for years, and drew seashells. I googled several identification sites but don't know if I tagged them correctly. I have a basket filled with small shells and I don't know the name of a single one.
Shells are fun to draw and just about every lesson can be covered with them - shadows, overlapping (if they're arranged that way), contours, values and everything else. I chose the simplest ones to work with and even those were a struggle.
Steve and I went to church this morning, the first time we went together in a couple months. I did a little sketching on site and added the color later. It's so unusual for me to draw an entire "scene" instead of individual items. Demi wasn't really sleeping with half her body moving up the end of the pew - but I drew her first, flat on the floor, and when I started adding the pew I didn't leave enough space. Another concept to master!
Lovely pages.
