Eatin' my homework
I just finished my homework, due tomorrow. This is the same artichoke I practiced on yesterday, in fact it's the third rendition (I'm a slow learner). Now I can eat it.
A new storm is moving in and we are still desperate for more rain. We've now received about half of what is average in a rain year (until June 30) and already the storms appear to be tapering off. Not good.
I took Brix to Juvenile Hall today. Demi obviously didn't want to go (she was snuggled up to Steve and didn't move when I walked in with my jacket and her leash). She's been working hard lately so I gave her the day off and took the boy dog instead - which made his day. (Take me, take me, you never take me!)
New members of the Sonoma County Board of Supervisors were getting a tour of Juvenile Hall when we reached the unit. Brix behaved and the tour guide wove dog therapy into his spiel. I keep reminding him that they need a dog on each unit instead of my dogs once a week for one group and, while he agrees, it isn't likely to happen. Most of the kids really enjoy the dogs and want to play with them and pet them. A few are more skiddish and I always respect their need for distance.
Once we were in the group room Brix immediately fell asleep. I had a project for the girls and they enjoyed it, chatted while they worked and, for the most part, stayed on track. It was a good day.
Your pencil drawing of the artichoke looks wonderful! I like it even without color...and that is saying alot because I LOVE color! LOL!
ReplyDeleteI think your drawing and painting is coming along quite well, and I can see a real improvement...your hard work is paying off!! I have been trying to practice everyday thanks to thing a day...
