On 01.02.02, I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. Too late for surgery, I had chemotherapy, which failed. In May the chemotherapy was changed and I was soon in remission which was celebrated and welcome and lasted nine years - until October 2011. There was progression in 2011 so more treatment was indicated and I am now back in partial remission. But I'm not only a cancer patient - I also enjoy my family, walk my dogs and am learning to draw and paint. Life is good!

First Friday in January

Today's walk - 1.75 miles with Brix

So far, my only accomplishment in the new year has been to whine about the weather. I haven't felt warm for weeks! But I do like the rain and we're finally starting to have long gray days with mist and showers so the real rain is probably on the way.

I deleted one of my New Year's resolutions already -- not really interested in pursuing it -- and combined another couple so I'm down to a short list of eight. IF I make real progress on those eight I will be such a happy camper this time next year. I will be thinner, my home will be cleaner, my drawing skills will show improvement, I will be better read, etc., etc. I won't quite be the model of perfection that this little angel statue shows, but I will certainly be the upgraded, new improved model of myself. The problem is that the little word IF holds so much importance....
