On 01.02.02, I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. Too late for surgery, I had chemotherapy, which failed. In May the chemotherapy was changed and I was soon in remission which was celebrated and welcome and lasted nine years - until October 2011. There was progression in 2011 so more treatment was indicated and I am now back in partial remission. But I'm not only a cancer patient - I also enjoy my family, walk my dogs and am learning to draw and paint. Life is good!

Whoever would have thunk it?

The last thing anyone would have expected was that I, Barbara, would make a cartoon video! It was an assignment in my mixed media art class to animate something, a real stretch for me. I made the puppets and I collaged the background. In the end I came up with this 13-second project -- so watch it but don't blink!

  3. That's really neat. That's my Sarah - just looking around and then zoom, off after a rabbit! I think you did a super job and you've certainly learned something new.
