On 01.02.02, I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. Too late for surgery, I had chemotherapy, which failed. In May the chemotherapy was changed and I was soon in remission which was celebrated and welcome and lasted nine years - until October 2011. There was progression in 2011 so more treatment was indicated and I am now back in partial remission. But I'm not only a cancer patient - I also enjoy my family, walk my dogs and am learning to draw and paint. Life is good!

A good read is a delight to find

Oh dear, I'm falling behind again. This week I read PONTOON, by Garrison Keillor, one of most favoite people on earth. I read his columns, listen to his radio broadcasts and certainly enjoyed this book.

Artwise, I'm moving along slowly. In class we've switched gears and are beginning some printing projects. I'm not ready to post yet, but eventually I'll have something to show. And I'm now 20% through my mixed media 100-page project and will upload those pages too.

Mostly I've been obsessing about the debates and upcoming election and can usually be found in front of CNN, hopefully sorting out boxes of junk and papers while I follow it all.
