On 01.02.02, I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. Too late for surgery, I had chemotherapy, which failed. In May the chemotherapy was changed and I was soon in remission which was celebrated and welcome and lasted nine years - until October 2011. There was progression in 2011 so more treatment was indicated and I am now back in partial remission. But I'm not only a cancer patient - I also enjoy my family, walk my dogs and am learning to draw and paint. Life is good!

My 15 minutes of fame

It had to happen, sooner or later -- my 15 minutes of fame, that is. The Santa Rosa Press Democrat interviewed me for an article which appeared recently in their Sonoma Pets section. You can find it here:

In the meantime, I'm working on crossing off items from the list I posted yesterday. I made and mailed a postcard to one grandson last night. This evening I cooked a pot of homemade chicken noodle soup. Two done!

  1. Don't get too crazy crossing stuff off your list! And keep posting your art. --from one of your regulars

  2. Well Carol, how nice to know I HAVE regulars! Thank you so much!
