On 01.02.02, I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. Too late for surgery, I had chemotherapy, which failed. In May the chemotherapy was changed and I was soon in remission which was celebrated and welcome and lasted nine years - until October 2011. There was progression in 2011 so more treatment was indicated and I am now back in partial remission. But I'm not only a cancer patient - I also enjoy my family, walk my dogs and am learning to draw and paint. Life is good!

My girl is coming home!

Forget the bagel, forget the great salad, forget everything -- Beulie is coming home this afternoon! We finally tracked down her next people, on vacation but thrilled and ecstatic to learn of her release and availability.

So we'll foster our own puppy until the end of the month and then turn her over to her forever home. I can't wait to see her! We gave her up for advanced training on May 13 so it's been a full two months.

Since then she's had additional training, her grown up woman surgery, made new friends and lived in the kennels. There's no telling what she'll be like now!

  1. WOOT! Oh I am glad she'll be out of those kennels... and soon into a brand new home :) I know she will be well loved!

  2. It's always nice to be able to visit with the dogs again. My sister has a Bichon that I like a lot and he likes me too (he doesn't like everyone). I am always happy when I get to see him again.
