From my journal
I want to use my sketchbook for just about everything -- for when I try very hard, for some momentary image (like yesterday's lizard) and just for journaling fun. The last one is the hardest for me -- some of us just don't know how to play -- but now that my drawing skills have advanced to the 3rd grade level I can start drawing things just for my own entertainment. So that's exactly what I did!
It's a very charming page!!! I have discovered that having fun often yields the most wonderful and surprising results :-)
ReplyDeleteYahoo! Ireland! I was there a few years back, and have a wedding to attend in Galway this fall. Enjoy your trip, and take tons of pitcures!
ReplyDeletelovely job...and it sounds like you are following it...off to ireland...HAVE a blast and draw ALOT of sketches!
ReplyDeleteCute page and great attitude!
ReplyDeleteWish more people took the advice. Enjoy
ReplyDeletei really like this page! i love how the girl is part way off the page. it has great movement!
ReplyDeletePlaying is such hard work sometimes! I didn't do very well at it when I was a kid! You made a very happy page here, one you'll love to come back and look at again and again.
ReplyDeleteHave fun in Ireland. It's the only place I've ever wanted to travel to but now I'm afraid I'd see too many Starbucks and McDonald's. I'm waiting to see what you have to say about it or should I say, draw/journal about it?
I like how this page comes together. The person walking off the page adds urgency, and the color helps, too.
ReplyDeleteThank you, all of you, I'm flattered beyond words (and it was a fun page to draw too!). - Barbara
