On 01.02.02, I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. Too late for surgery, I had chemotherapy, which failed. In May the chemotherapy was changed and I was soon in remission which was celebrated and welcome and lasted nine years - until October 2011. There was progression in 2011 so more treatment was indicated and I am now back in partial remission. But I'm not only a cancer patient - I also enjoy my family, walk my dogs and am learning to draw and paint. Life is good!

May I go? My turn??

Every morning Steve drives our daughter to her day program. Every morning the dogs vie for a place in the car. Only one will be chosen and the lucky dog will get to walk for a full hour and see the town waking up. This morning Beulie blocked the door, determined to win. It worked!

  1. My daughter has a chart for her kids. It has each of their photos on it and an arrow stuck to a piece of glued on velcro. Each day the arrow moves ahead one so every kid has a turn at being ... well, first, last or whatever for the day. Sounds like the dogs need their own chart!
