On 01.02.02, I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. Too late for surgery, I had chemotherapy, which failed. In May the chemotherapy was changed and I was soon in remission which was celebrated and welcome and lasted nine years - until October 2011. There was progression in 2011 so more treatment was indicated and I am now back in partial remission. But I'm not only a cancer patient - I also enjoy my family, walk my dogs and am learning to draw and paint. Life is good!

Where's the rain?

I'm not sure where this round tower is. It might be Ireland, maybe not, but definitely from antiquity and fun to draw.

They promised us rain today but it never happened and I was disappointed. The rainy season is dwindling and it's my favorite time because it means I can hole up and be cozy with a good read or lots of drawing materials. There's no pressure to get out and walk and the sound is so incredibly soothing. That's my two cents on rain.

  1. If you don't get the rain, we certainly don't. Great tower.
