End of week 9
Today was such a low-energy day for me! I slept all afternoon in spite of all the to-dos I'd hoped to accomplish. But I wanted to add a page to my March visual journal/sketchbook and borrowed a suggestion from Dory Kanter's book, ART ESCAPES. She calls this "café art" in which she makes a simple contour drawing of an object and then swirls a line pattern on top of it and paints in each separate area. I used a Sharpie to go over the original lines to add some contrast, tidy it up and give it a stain glassy effect.
I'm looking forward to seeing so much more of your work. You're an inspiration.

Isn't that a great book! One of my favorites. Love your 'cafe' glass!
ReplyDeleteThat's exactly what I need today. I'm also feeling really low energy and want to do something art related. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteThank you for stopping by! The book I mentioned, ART ESCAPES, by Dory Kanter, has lots of motivating ideas so you can get something done when you really don't want to do anything! - Barbara
