On 01.02.02, I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. Too late for surgery, I had chemotherapy, which failed. In May the chemotherapy was changed and I was soon in remission which was celebrated and welcome and lasted nine years - until October 2011. There was progression in 2011 so more treatment was indicated and I am now back in partial remission. But I'm not only a cancer patient - I also enjoy my family, walk my dogs and am learning to draw and paint. Life is good!

70 degrees and counting

When the rain stopped, it really stopped. The sun has been shining for the last several days and each day has been a little bit warmer. The mustard is tall in the vineyards and the hills are luscious green. Early spring in northern California is gorgeous!

Beulie came back home and seems older somehow, a bit more mature. She's still energetic but suddenly more manageable. The baby is growing up. I took her to Juvenile Hall yesterday where she played nicely and then fell asleep while the boys were busy making valentines for their girlfriends (and moms and grandmas and sisters).
