Here Kitty, Kitty, Kitty
I was looking around for something to draw this evening and happened across this handsome cat in an old magazine advertisement. I've never drawn a cat before so this was something of a challenge. I wish I hadn't made the face quite so round, but that's the way I was reading the photograph. It was, however, nice to have an animal that held still!

ReplyDeleteMy buddy Tonka a purebred persian thinks round, flat faces are to his liking, so do not stress over round face, as many breeds within the feline population have round faces.
Isn't it nice to have a model stay still for longer that a few seconds! I have tried everything to keep Tonka still to get a sketch but he is always going 100MPH and only stops when he is sleeping which is not his most attractive look.
Keep up the good work, as practice does bring perfection.
