My first frontispiece
One of the delights of travel is that you get to make a travel journal to remind you of where you've been -- like photos but much more lively (my humble opinion). I've never been able to do this before because I've never known how to depict anything and have always been dependent on words and camera. But this year.......I've gotten as far as a frontispiece of the Holland-American ship, the Zuiderdam. It's far more majestic in person, it's gorgeous!
great drawing!
ReplyDeleteAs an appreciator of cruise ships (never been on one myself!), this drawing really appeals to me. It looks like the boat was made from cut crystal. I agree about journal drawing one's trip for the old memory banks...much richer.
ReplyDeleteHope you had a nice trip.
I agree that sketches have so much more life in them than photos. This i8s a great rendering of a cruise ship, although I've never been on one. Wonderful, wonderful.
