On 01.02.02, I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. Too late for surgery, I had chemotherapy, which failed. In May the chemotherapy was changed and I was soon in remission which was celebrated and welcome and lasted nine years - until October 2011. There was progression in 2011 so more treatment was indicated and I am now back in partial remission. But I'm not only a cancer patient - I also enjoy my family, walk my dogs and am learning to draw and paint. Life is good!

Iris folding

One of the advantages of being a happy fool is that it takes so little to amuse me! Today I folded an iris star and made it into a postcard to send to my grandson (who depends on me for his mail supply). Iris folding is also a favorite craft activity at Juvenile Hall - for both boys and girls.

  1. This is cool! I bet he loves it.
I kind of like paper folding too but don't do too much of it.

  3. Thank you both. Iris folding can become addictive. The blue patterns, Martha, are envelopes (the inside). The more bills you receive in the mail, the more blue papers you get! (ugh) - Barbara

Addictive is not the word for it, Well thats what my other half says,
Over here in the UK it has just become really popular, I don't think this one will just be a passing fad.
