On 01.02.02, I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. Too late for surgery, I had chemotherapy, which failed. In May the chemotherapy was changed and I was soon in remission which was celebrated and welcome and lasted nine years - until October 2011. There was progression in 2011 so more treatment was indicated and I am now back in partial remission. But I'm not only a cancer patient - I also enjoy my family, walk my dogs and am learning to draw and paint. Life is good!

The girls at the Hall

My first three MOO cards came in the mail this week (from London) and I'm very pleased with them although they aren't scanning well onto this site. In person, they look great! I use them in my work with adolescent girls at Juvenile Hall. Most of the work with them entails forming a relationship so I encourage them to write to me and I always respond to their letters. The cards have contact information on the reverse side with an invitation to correspond. I was so pleased with this first set that I ordered four more. I think the girls will enjoy them too.
