On 01.02.02, I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. Too late for surgery, I had chemotherapy, which failed. In May the chemotherapy was changed and I was soon in remission which was celebrated and welcome and lasted nine years - until October 2011. There was progression in 2011 so more treatment was indicated and I am now back in partial remission. But I'm not only a cancer patient - I also enjoy my family, walk my dogs and am learning to draw and paint. Life is good!

Love those palms

YES! I have changed my blog title for the third time. I have been receiving so much criticism lately for being naive, for being Pollyanna-ish, whatever, that I've decided to make it big and real. This blog continues to be about all those little moments that make life worth living!

A couple weeks ago I was admiring a friend's palm tree in her California yard. "Haven't you lived in California long enough to get used to palm trees?" she asked. In a word, NO! I love them and DON'T take them for granted. These are in Honolulu. Even the bark fascinates me.
