On 01.02.02, I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. Too late for surgery, I had chemotherapy, which failed. In May the chemotherapy was changed and I was soon in remission which was celebrated and welcome and lasted nine years - until October 2011. There was progression in 2011 so more treatment was indicated and I am now back in partial remission. But I'm not only a cancer patient - I also enjoy my family, walk my dogs and am learning to draw and paint. Life is good!

Almost better

Today was a sleep day, but I feel much better.  My eye is just about healed now so life is improving by the hour. Tomorrow is Ash Wednesday; my plan is to attend the morning service and make up for the Sunday that I missed. I should he okay in just a few days.  Steve is still sprinkling drops in my eye, but we're just about finished with that.  The weather is warming too so everything is improving quickly now and I am becoming more and more hopeful.

We're leaving for Honolulu in just two weeks; I should be fine by then.  Whew!

  1. I check up on your daily - don't always stop to write though. You are in my prayers also! So glad you are beginning to feel the end of the mess and getting back to the business of LIFE! We leave for a two week vacation tonight, and you'll probably be gone to HI when I get back so I wish you the best trip and lots of restful healing!
