On 01.02.02, I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. Too late for surgery, I had chemotherapy, which failed. In May the chemotherapy was changed and I was soon in remission which was celebrated and welcome and lasted nine years - until October 2011. There was progression in 2011 so more treatment was indicated and I am now back in partial remission. But I'm not only a cancer patient - I also enjoy my family, walk my dogs and am learning to draw and paint. Life is good!

Trying again

I was home for three days and then re-entered the hospital on Monday.  The thinking is that I probably need surgery, but that my chances of survival would improve if I have a week of nutrition through a PICC line first.  It's an ominous situation and I'm a bit freaked. I can't go home until I can eat normally.

I missed my laptop terribly, but today I asked a nurse if wifi was available and she assured me it was - it's a question I should have asked much sooner.

  1. Goodness you are going through a lot :( I am sorry you are back in the hospital, not a fun thing this time of year.
Can you do audio books? I know a few sites online where you can get them... if you are going to be in bed, perhaps that might help.

Anyway, here's hoping that you can get enough nutrients to do as the doctors say!
    GET WELL SOON!
