On 01.02.02, I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. Too late for surgery, I had chemotherapy, which failed. In May the chemotherapy was changed and I was soon in remission which was celebrated and welcome and lasted nine years - until October 2011. There was progression in 2011 so more treatment was indicated and I am now back in partial remission. But I'm not only a cancer patient - I also enjoy my family, walk my dogs and am learning to draw and paint. Life is good!

One-third done

I finished the fifth of fifteen radiation treatments yesterday.  It's gotten to be routine - in, out, done.  Today I achieved "favorite patient of the week" status - because I was the very last one and staff could go home!

Earlier Steve and I wandered around the Friday Farmers' Market.  It was a busy place and parking was difficult.  But most of our favorite vendors were there and we had some nice visits.

A few months ago I was making a fresh salad almost every day, but then health issues threw me off and I started missing days, then forgot all about it. Today, with all those fresh veggies and greens it was easy to get back on board.
