On 01.02.02, I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. Too late for surgery, I had chemotherapy, which failed. In May the chemotherapy was changed and I was soon in remission which was celebrated and welcome and lasted nine years - until October 2011. There was progression in 2011 so more treatment was indicated and I am now back in partial remission. But I'm not only a cancer patient - I also enjoy my family, walk my dogs and am learning to draw and paint. Life is good!

Ever watchful

I finally made it back over to Maxwell Farms Regional Park where I am a trail monitor.  When I'm there I take note of anything amiss, any incidents or dangerous conditions.  Usually I pick up litter along the way.

Yesterday the situation seemed completely in order.  There was no litter.  There were no incidents.  No trees had fallen and there was nothing to trip over.  All the dogs present were on leashes. The kids were having a great time in the play area and no one was crying.  The bathroom was immaculate.  But I did notice that the Sureño gang (foot soldiers of the Mexican Mafia) had been there recently and left their mark.  It's the X3 that's the giveaway.
