On 01.02.02, I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. Too late for surgery, I had chemotherapy, which failed. In May the chemotherapy was changed and I was soon in remission which was celebrated and welcome and lasted nine years - until October 2011. There was progression in 2011 so more treatment was indicated and I am now back in partial remission. But I'm not only a cancer patient - I also enjoy my family, walk my dogs and am learning to draw and paint. Life is good!

As normal as normal gets

There are three black labs lying all over the living/dining room floors.  It looks for all the world like some deranged person came in for a massacre.

Today was normal, normal, normal.  Steve and I walked through the Friday Farmers' Market and bought a little of this and a lot of that.  Then picked up some bedding plants to fill in the blank spaces in borders, groomed everything and tidied the yard a bit.

The relatives are due tomorrow - Oldest Son and Daughter-in-Law from Honolulu, Oldest Daughter, Oldest Grandson and Youngest Grandson from nearby.  It will be a family reunion, let's call it that.  I think folks panicked when I was hospitalized.

Really, I'm fine.  Off all pain pills.  I walked a mile yesterday...
