On 01.02.02, I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. Too late for surgery, I had chemotherapy, which failed. In May the chemotherapy was changed and I was soon in remission which was celebrated and welcome and lasted nine years - until October 2011. There was progression in 2011 so more treatment was indicated and I am now back in partial remission. But I'm not only a cancer patient - I also enjoy my family, walk my dogs and am learning to draw and paint. Life is good!

Out to lunch

I'm taking a brief break from blogging, but will be back in about a week.  All is well and I'm looking forward to continuing the conversation.

  2. See you when you return. I found your last post interesting...I had not thought of a cancer patient as having to choose whether to be identified with cancer or not. I can see not wanting to have that label - it could be discouraging, yet at the same time, the group could be very encouraging. Good luck to you in your choices.
