On 01.02.02, I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. Too late for surgery, I had chemotherapy, which failed. In May the chemotherapy was changed and I was soon in remission which was celebrated and welcome and lasted nine years - until October 2011. There was progression in 2011 so more treatment was indicated and I am now back in partial remission. But I'm not only a cancer patient - I also enjoy my family, walk my dogs and am learning to draw and paint. Life is good!

Waiting for the ball to drop

The grandsons were over again this evening.  They hung out until midnight in Times Square and then left so they could be in their jammies in time for New Year's here on the west coast.  They've been over three times in the last week or so, something that never happens but is so fun.

I'm ready for a new year and a fresh start.  I started off last January thinking I was totally healthy and in remission, only to have it all fall apart in August when the first symptoms began.  Now I'm looking forward to completing chemotherapy and getting healthy again.

That's my #1 resolution for 2012 - Get healthy!
