On 01.02.02, I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. Too late for surgery, I had chemotherapy, which failed. In May the chemotherapy was changed and I was soon in remission which was celebrated and welcome and lasted nine years - until October 2011. There was progression in 2011 so more treatment was indicated and I am now back in partial remission. But I'm not only a cancer patient - I also enjoy my family, walk my dogs and am learning to draw and paint. Life is good!

Return to (new) normal

Here's me, the final photo I'll show you of the Juvenile Hall caroling event last Thursday night.  OK, I'm done!

I have the house to myself for most of today.  That's perfect timing because I need something retreat-like so I can pull it all together and get ready for 2012.

For me that means writing New Year's resolutions, which I've started (1. Get healthy after chemo 2. Grow hair!) and 3. get back to my decluttering projects.  Oh, and start walking - there's no excuse today, the sun is shining and I obviously have time.

Just the thought exhausts me!

  1. The caroling event is a cool tradition, and I really like this photo of you singing. Thanks as always for sharing glimpses of the wonderful stuff you do.
