On 01.02.02, I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. Too late for surgery, I had chemotherapy, which failed. In May the chemotherapy was changed and I was soon in remission which was celebrated and welcome and lasted nine years - until October 2011. There was progression in 2011 so more treatment was indicated and I am now back in partial remission. But I'm not only a cancer patient - I also enjoy my family, walk my dogs and am learning to draw and paint. Life is good!

Rock it!

Steve snapped my photo at the hair salon after Shelley had way too much fun cutting as short as she dared.  At least now the fall-out will be in bits and pieces instead of huge clumps.

And then, because today was a better day, we went out for lunch and I ordered my favorite tortilla soup.  Isn't it pretty?

  1. Good pics of both your meal & your new 'do--I like how your hair is a little spiky on top : )

  2. Hi Rebecca - Isn't it amazing how easy it can be to do something when we're in dire straits that seems inconceivable in normal times? I would never run around with spikes on a typical day!
