On 01.02.02, I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. Too late for surgery, I had chemotherapy, which failed. In May the chemotherapy was changed and I was soon in remission which was celebrated and welcome and lasted nine years - until October 2011. There was progression in 2011 so more treatment was indicated and I am now back in partial remission. But I'm not only a cancer patient - I also enjoy my family, walk my dogs and am learning to draw and paint. Life is good!

Down to the count

I'm starting to do better with surgery only two days away and some hope that this situation will resolve.  What I don't know is the type and stage of this new cancer and whether further treatment will be necessary.  I probably won't have that information for a week or so.

The weather has been gorgeous, lovely October days.  I haven't been walking every single day as I did for 150 days without missing - until it rained and I wimped out, but I walk more days than not whichs helps.  I've missed some classes and will probably miss several more, but my classes are for my own interest, not because I'm pursuing another degree, so I can cut myself some slack.

Two more days, that's all....
