On 01.02.02, I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. Too late for surgery, I had chemotherapy, which failed. In May the chemotherapy was changed and I was soon in remission which was celebrated and welcome and lasted nine years - until October 2011. There was progression in 2011 so more treatment was indicated and I am now back in partial remission. But I'm not only a cancer patient - I also enjoy my family, walk my dogs and am learning to draw and paint. Life is good!

Cracking up

Sidewalk cracks
The Juvenile Hall boys' recreational art group had a lot of fun this afternoon with Carla Sonheim's July sidewalk cracks.  Her blog is HERE.  Some of the kids saw monsters or other imaginative creatures, but I saw a single fish happily swimming in an aquarium.  And I'll never view sidewalk cracks the same again.

  1. Neat fish! I did not see an aquarium in this picture but yours shows it's there! Glad the boys had fun with it too. Maybe it'll give them something to do when they get out and are lolling around rather than the mischief they've managed to get into already.
