On 01.02.02, I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. Too late for surgery, I had chemotherapy, which failed. In May the chemotherapy was changed and I was soon in remission which was celebrated and welcome and lasted nine years - until October 2011. There was progression in 2011 so more treatment was indicated and I am now back in partial remission. But I'm not only a cancer patient - I also enjoy my family, walk my dogs and am learning to draw and paint. Life is good!

Telling the truth

It rained again today.  Yesterday I said it doesn't rain in June in northern California and it appears that I pretty much told the truth.  Today's newspaper reported that it did rain twice - once in the 1960s and once in 1927.  I was in NYC in the '60s and I wasn't  anywhere in 1927, not even a gleam.

And no, I am not calling June rain a miracle.  I'm calling it climate change.  Where is Al Gore when we need him?
