I am the one
I've become interested in Soul Collage, a concept developed by Seena Frost in a book by the same name.
Today I made my first card: I Am The One Who sometimes feels adrift at sea, hearing the conflicted advice of the committee who often get in my way.
It was a fun project. I had a stack of magazine images culled from the past couple days so today I pulled them out to see what might go together. In the end I used three of them and cut and pasted to get them just right.
This is a potentially addictive process, I can see that. Collage artists and those of us who like to cut and paste are especially vulnerable. But it's a great way to start using up old magazines.

I love your "I am" - I too often feel like I'm getting too much information/advice and end up doing my own thing.
ReplyDeleteYou might enjoy making your own deck of cards. Just notice the different parts of yourself and cut and paste. In true Soul Collage all cards are the same size - usually 5x7 although I used 4x6 - and it's important that every little inch is covered with collage. Then use the I Am format I used and you're in business! I actually worked on 8-1/2x11 printer paper and ran it through the copy machine to reduce it to the 4x6 image. So much fun - and therapeutic too!
