On 01.02.02, I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. Too late for surgery, I had chemotherapy, which failed. In May the chemotherapy was changed and I was soon in remission which was celebrated and welcome and lasted nine years - until October 2011. There was progression in 2011 so more treatment was indicated and I am now back in partial remission. But I'm not only a cancer patient - I also enjoy my family, walk my dogs and am learning to draw and paint. Life is good!

A momentous day

I watched hours of jubilation in Egypt today, via CNN, and hope that the new government, once it is established, meets the hopes and needs of the people who were celebrating today. This was an historic moment and I can only be happy for those who worked so hard and suffered for so long.

  2. It is good to see the will of the people overcome! It renews my faith in the way a government should work - theirs hasn't worked in so long, but they, the people, made it change. I love this cactus, I feel like I'm at the base of it looking up into the sky. Great angle!

  3. I'm just grateful you could identify it as a cactus!
