Last day of rain
Of course, it's raining. But the next four days will by sunshiny before another storm rolls in.
As promised, I did nothing today. I picked up my daughter from Special Olympics basketball practice, drew a couple pages and took a nap.
The nap was a mistake because I dreamed someone borrowed my Kindle and somehow drenched it in water. In the final dream scene I was standing there holding it, watching all the water drain out. It might as well have been a nightmare because I use it for reading books, playing Scrabble against its inner brain and working crossword puzzles from The New York Times, but only easy ones. I had gotten half through one of those when I felt drowsy and fell asleep.
It's still early, not even dark yet this cold, rainy winter day, so I can redeem myself - but I'm not going to try very hard!

No need for redemption for taking a day off. Even God did that if you recall (and I know you sit in church often enough to have heard about that). Enjoy yourself. Say to yourself "this is my day to relax, refresh and enjoy". Go ahead and say it out loud. We don't always believe ourselves until we say it aloud!
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, I tend to sit around and sit it too often!
