On 01.02.02, I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. Too late for surgery, I had chemotherapy, which failed. In May the chemotherapy was changed and I was soon in remission which was celebrated and welcome and lasted nine years - until October 2011. There was progression in 2011 so more treatment was indicated and I am now back in partial remission. But I'm not only a cancer patient - I also enjoy my family, walk my dogs and am learning to draw and paint. Life is good!

Sun's out

Another gorgeous day. Out of season as they are, I'm starting to get used to them! It was bleak and foggy this morning, but once the fog burned off the day couldn't have been more pleasant.

I was lightly scheduled and even had time to read and do nothing. I have a date tonight - Steve and I are goin' to the movies! We watch so many DVDs and Roku options that to actually sit in a theater with strangers will seem like a quaint throwback to I don't know when!

  1. I haven't a clue what roku is but hope you had fun at the movies.

Is a turtle naked or homeless? Well I think they both feel the same so what's the difference?

  2. I'm playing catch-up with everyone's blogs and I didn't want to leave yours out. I hope Belle is doing a bit better! Your narrative and drawings continue to interest me and I love hearing about what you've been up to! Your art continues to grow and change - well done! nancy

  3. Love the riddle! Maybe he's just become a minimalist. No need for clothing or a home - just content to take one day at a time!
