On 01.02.02, I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. Too late for surgery, I had chemotherapy, which failed. In May the chemotherapy was changed and I was soon in remission which was celebrated and welcome and lasted nine years - until October 2011. There was progression in 2011 so more treatment was indicated and I am now back in partial remission. But I'm not only a cancer patient - I also enjoy my family, walk my dogs and am learning to draw and paint. Life is good!

Progress, not perfection

I had such a great day yesterday, the most productive so far this year. I barreled through a stack of papers, now all neatly filed or notebooked so I can find every single one.

And of course I resolved never to let things get so out of control ever again (right) because 30 seconds of dealing with something now saves days of fixing deferred decision making later. I understand the premise....

So, as long as the mail continues to not arrive (two days off this week), nothing will be left undone... Oh, I see the mail carrier now...

Here we go again.

  1. Oh my! I think we must live in the same house! My kitchen counter gets stacked with mail that I need to look at but most often throw away but not before it sits in my way for several days. Love the 2011 zentangle.

  2. Imperfection has a charm all it's own - besides only you can see the imperfection.
