On 01.02.02, I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. Too late for surgery, I had chemotherapy, which failed. In May the chemotherapy was changed and I was soon in remission which was celebrated and welcome and lasted nine years - until October 2011. There was progression in 2011 so more treatment was indicated and I am now back in partial remission. But I'm not only a cancer patient - I also enjoy my family, walk my dogs and am learning to draw and paint. Life is good!

Off to Starbucks

Our local Starbucks is sponsoring a Toys for Tots drive with cookie decorating, holiday crafts and their own refreshments.  I think this is a new idea locally, but it sounds like a nice way to meet and mingle and add some cheer to this gray, gray day so we're going.

This morning I drew the same church chancel that I drew and posted last week.  The difference is that we were sitting in a different spot so my perspective was different.  So, if I go to church most Sundays, keep switching pews, will I improve my sketching or just confuse the regulars??

  1. I've just been reading back through your blog - sounds like you are having an enjoyable time leading up to Christmas. I could use some of those fresh eggs! Have fun caroling and doing the toys for tots!
