On 01.02.02, I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. Too late for surgery, I had chemotherapy, which failed. In May the chemotherapy was changed and I was soon in remission which was celebrated and welcome and lasted nine years - until October 2011. There was progression in 2011 so more treatment was indicated and I am now back in partial remission. But I'm not only a cancer patient - I also enjoy my family, walk my dogs and am learning to draw and paint. Life is good!

Pulling myself up

I wish I would use basic principles of art therapy when I'm actually in a funk instead of when I'm already halfway out and in full view of the sun. Today was a good day and I felt great. I walked two miles - the first on a treadmill and the second with Steve and three dogs. We have a visitor this weekend, Elektra, and everybody needed to get outside.

A new storm is coming in during the night and will last most of tomorrow. Great! My plans for the day are minor so it will be a wonderful day to let it rip. Rarely do we hear thunder, but even that's a possibility.

And to make it even better, it's Fall-Back Sunday so we can all reset our clocks and sleep a whole extra hour. Yaaaaaay! I feel better already!

  1. I just wrote about "falling back" on my blog, and then I popped over here to see what you've been up to, and you mention it, as well. I'm glad you're a fellow "fall-back" enthusiast!
